Sending a Secure Email to Non-County Recipients Using Outlook 2021

To send a secure email to someone outside the county, follow these steps:

  1. Compose the Email:

    • Open Outlook 2021 and compose your email as usual.
  2. Add "[secure]" in the Subject Line:

    • In the subject line, type [secure] (including the brackets) followed by the subject of your message.
  3. Email Body and Attachments:

    • Write the body of your email as you normally would.
    • If you need to include an attachment, add it as you typically would.
  4. Send the Email:

    • Click Send. Your email will be sent as an encrypted message.
  5. Recipient Instructions:

    • When the recipient receives the email, they will be prompted with steps to access the secure message.
      • They will need to click on the provided link in the email.
      • Next, they will be prompted to create a password to secure their account.
      • Once the password is set, they can access their inbox to view the message.
    • The email containing these instructions will come from delivery@sonicsecuremail.com.
